Mia is an Emmy-nominated news producer for Spectrum News One in Raleigh. Leading the evening 5p show in a top 25 market, she has grown in innumerable ways. She holds a B.S. in Electronic Media Broadcasting from Appalachian State University and is passionate about building effective teams, and using creative design, video, and photography to create high growth products and communities.

Throughout Mia’s time at Dig Local and throughout her work as the Multimedia Desk Editor at The Appalachian, she has created many graphics to highlight local businesses, showcase important information in a beautiful and comprehensive way, and to promote items and events.
